We are pleased to offer fabric for project bags featuring Maria Wales Newson 1838 on a quality 167gsm cotton fabric.
Each piece has all the panels needed to create a project bag. There is no measuring of fabric, just cut out the printed panels.
There are three outer panels – the main front panel which commemorates the Maria’s beautiful sampler, the panel for inserting above the zip features text “Mrs Parkman’s Academy of Needlework Swindon 2025” with a plain background (plus an alternative in the main fabric without text) and the rear panel together with three lining panels, 2.5 inch binding for finishing the project bag plus ample over to add handles to the project bag if desired.
The overall panel measures 55 x 19.5 inches and the finished project bag will measure 14 x 13.5 inches if finished with a bound edge. If you do not use binding and choose to seam and turn with 1/4 inch seam allowance the finished bag will measure 13.5 x 13 inches.
All you need to do is cut out each panel and assemble. You will also need a zipper and wadding.
