Our Tom Thumb’s Carriage silk pack has been carefully assembled using Au Ver à Soie’s Soie 100.3, allowing you to recreate the delightful colours of Margret Coy’s sampler.
Each silk pack contains 17 generous 150-metre spools of Soie 100.3, providing ample silk to complete the sampler while leaving plenty to enhance your own collection.
Important Notice
Tom Thumb’s Carriage was originally reproduced for a workshop held in the United States. During the preparation for the workshop, Au Ver à Soie’s Soie 100.3 shade 612 was unavailable in the United States at that time, although it remained available in Europe. To ensure workshop participants could obtain all of the required materials, the original workshop thread packs were supplied with Soie 100.3 shade 562 as a substitute, and the thread legend in the printed booklet was amended accordingly.
Soie 100.3 shade 612 is now once again available in the United States, and the silk packs we are offering contain the original shade used to stitch the model sampler.
These silk packs are available in a limited quantity and, once sold, will not be restocked as part of this release.
Each spool contains 150 metres of silk, three times the length of the standard Au Ver à Soie retail spool, making these packs exceptional value while providing a wonderful opportunity to build your silk collection.
Like all Hands Across the Sea Samplers silk packs, these threads have been assembled with great care to faithfully reproduce the colours of the original sampler, allowing you to enjoy the pleasure of stitching with one of the finest silks available today.
